This includes Reddit, Digg, and Technorati. Once I create a new post or page for my blog, the information is already indexed by these services. I don’t have to do anything extra to gain the attention of millions of people that browse these directories on a daily basis. In fact, all of the services I use provide special code that sends a ping, or alert to the blog directory each time I make an update.

There is no question that online marketing presents its own unique set of challenges. Nevertheless, the heart of overcoming these hurdles usually involves getting targeted traffic to a website. If you are interested in selling items, or simply want people to use the information housed on your site, niche specific backlinks and blog directories offer two excellent opportunities.
